The canopied entryway on the Lindy Lane Ave. side has stairs and a ramp\, and is closest to the worship space\, it offers limited parking. There are handicap parking spaces at all entrances.\nWe believe that children bring life to our services - noises and all. We are thankful that parents bring their children to worship\, and we believe that it is important to teach children the practice of worship.\nAll Children are encouraged to come forward for a children's sermon and a blessing during communion.\nA staffed child care room is available during the Sunday 9:00AM service\, and is located at the end of the hallway to the left of the worship space.\nAn usher will provide a bulletin prior to entering the worship space. The bulletin includes a detailed outline of the service and Newspage that features upcoming events. Please wear what makes you comfortable\, and as our Pastor says: "Just be sure to wear clothes!"\nYou can enter from the canopied door on the west side\, entering from Portage St.\, offers ground-level entry and offers plenty of parking. The canopied entryway on the Lindy Lane Ave. side has stairs and a ramp\, and is closest to the worship space\, it offers limited parking. There are handicap parking spaces at all entrances.\nWe believe that children bring life to our services - noises and all. We are thankful that parents bring their children to worship\, and we believe that it is important to teach children the practice of worship.\nAll Children are encouraged to come forward for a children's sermon and a blessing during communion.\nA staffed child care room is available during the Sunday 9:00AM service\, and is located at the end of the hallway to the left of the worship space.\nAn usher will provide a bulletin prior to entering the worship space. The bulletin includes a detailed outline of the service and Newspage that features upcoming events. There are also hymnals in each pew.\nWe practice an open table; those who commune at other Christian churches are welcomed and encouraged to participate.\n\nWe use individual cups; offering both wine and grape juice (the light colored cup)\nGluten-free wafers are available; just let Pastor know when you come forward\, they are readily available.\nWe gladly bring communion to you in your seat if that is easier for your mobility.

The pantry at Zion Lutheran Church of North Canton is a shared project with the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank and the generosity of Zion's members and the North Canton community. Being a member of Stark County Hunger Task Force enables Zion to be their official representative in the fight against hunger in North Canton.

DESCRIPTION:Good Friday\, April 15 at 7:30 pm\n\n\n \n\n\nOn this night\, the journey continues through the Three Days of Jesus’ suffering\, death\, and resurrection. At the heart of this service is the passion reading according to John\, which celebrates Christ’s victory on the cross. As Jesus draws all people to himself\, we pray for the whole world for which Christ died. Finally\, we honor the cross as the sign of forgiveness\, healing\, and salvation. With all God’s people we are invited to bow before this mystery of faith. Christ has died\, so that we may live.

SUMMARY:Maundy Thursday
DESCRIPTION:Maundy Thursday\, April 14 at 7:00 pm\n\n\n \n\n\nOn this night we begin the Three Days during which we participate once again in the saving power of Jesus’ passing over from death into life. The Maundy Thursday service includes the words of Jesus’ new commandment (madatum\, from which Maundy comes) to love one another. On this night in which Jesus was handed over to death we also gather around the Lord’s supper. At the service conclusion\, the altar area is stripped of furnishings as a sign of Jesus’ abandonment.\n\n\n \n\n\nWorship Pattern:\n\n\nwe gather in the gym to experience the Living Last Supper and join with First Communicants in receiving Christ’s body and blood. Service concludes with silent procession to the worship space where we sing Were You There\, followed by the solemnity of stripping the chancel as Psalm 22 is chanted.
