Please wear what makes you comfortable\, and as our Pastor says: "Just be sure to wear clothes!"\nYou can enter from the canopied door on the west side\, entering from Portage St.\, offers ground-level entry and offers plenty of parking. The canopied entryway on the Lindy Lane Ave. side has stairs and a ramp\, and is closest to the worship space\, it offers limited parking. There are handicap parking spaces at all entrances.\nWe believe that children bring life to our services - noises and all. We are thankful that parents bring their children to worship\, and we believe that it is important to teach children the practice of worship.\nAll Children are encouraged to come forward for a children's sermon and a blessing during communion.\nA staffed child care room is available during the Sunday 9:00AM service\, and is located at the end of the hallway to the left of the worship space.\nAn usher will provide a bulletin prior to entering the worship space. The bulletin includes a detailed outline of the service and Newspage that features upcoming events. There are also hymnals in each pew.\nWe practice an open table; those who commune at other Christian churches are welcomed and encouraged to participate.\n\nWe use individual cups; offering both wine and grape juice (the light colored cup)\nGluten-free wafers are available; just let Pastor know when you come forward\, they are readily available.\nWe gladly bring communion to you in your seat if that is easier for your mobility.

SUMMARY:Stark Hunger Walk
DESCRIPTION:The Stark Interfaith Hunger Walk is back in person this year on Sunday\, May 7th at North Canton Community Christian Church on Main St. Registration is at 2pm and the walk begins at 3pm. They have a lot of great activities planned prior to the walk with a soup and dessert social to follow. This is an interfaith walk to raise funds for the Akron Canton Regional Foodbank and help end    hunger in our community. Much like the Habitat Faith Build\, many different Faith Communities are coming together to help battle one of the leading problems in our county\, state and nation – food insecurity. \nHow can you help?  You can sign up to walk on May 7th and/or you can sponsor  Zion’s team of walkers.  We are collecting cash donations in any amount from $1 to $5 thru Sunday\, May 7th from anyone interested in sponsoring Zion’s team of walkers. All that donate will receive a sneaker to sign their name on which will be hung around the church.  We hope to have sneakers covering the church walls. There are volunteer opportunities on May 7th if you are unable to walk. Please see Debbie Fox if you would like to volunteer. Our Boy Scout Troop at Zion will be sending 6 Scouts to help that day! \nSign up sheets for walkers are in Luther Hall. We hope to have a large group of  walkers wearing our yellow “God’s Work Our Hands” t shirts. Friendly dogs on leashes are welcome too. Please join us for this great event that supports our mission of mattering to the community and helping so many. \n

Please wear what makes you comfortable\, and as our Pastor says: "Just be sure to wear clothes!"\nYou can enter from the canopied door on the west side\, entering from Portage St.\, offers ground-level entry and offers plenty of parking. The canopied entryway on the Lindy Lane Ave. side has stairs and a ramp\, and is closest to the worship space\, it offers limited parking. There are handicap parking spaces at all entrances.\nWe believe that children bring life to our services - noises and all. We are thankful that parents bring their children to worship\, and we believe that it is important to teach children the practice of worship.\nAll Children are encouraged to come forward for a children's sermon and a blessing during communion.\nA staffed child care room is available during the Sunday 9:00AM service\, and is located at the end of the hallway to the left of the worship space.\nAn usher will provide a bulletin prior to entering the worship space. The bulletin includes a detailed outline of the service and Newspage that features upcoming events. There are also hymnals in each pew.\nWe practice an open table; those who commune at other Christian churches are welcomed and encouraged to participate.\n\nWe use individual cups; offering both wine and grape juice (the light colored cup)\nGluten-free wafers are available; just let Pastor know when you come forward\, they are readily available.\nWe gladly bring communion to you in your seat if that is easier for your mobility.

The pantry at Zion Lutheran Church of North Canton is a shared project with the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank and the generosity of Zion's members and the North Canton community. Being a member of Stark County Hunger Task Force enables Zion to be their official representative in the fight against hunger in North Canton.
