12 Days of Christmas (Day 11)

Continuing our series of I Didn’t Know That, we take a look at the common symbolism attributed to that famous Christmas song; The Twelve Days of Christmas. Be aware, the song was not written as a mnemonic device to memorize Christian symbolism, but we can still have fun learning.

The eleventh day of Christmas, my true love gave to me: Eleven Pipers Piping

This has been given the symbolism of:

Eleven Faithful Disciples

(although we could argue Judas Iscariot was faithful, and what about Matthias who replaced Judas, and what about Paul whom Jesus called and sent)

Stayed tuned for the next episode where we’ll look at the Twelfth Day of Christmas.
