You don’t have what you have because you earned it or deserve it.
No, you have it because…wait for it… because God trusts you to care for it properly. God lets us tend to God’s creation.
“God said…let (humankind) have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth (Genesis 1:26).
God trusts us to take good care of that which belongs God. We are God’s entrusted caretakers. Does that biblical fact match the verbiage you use to reference things in your care?
You see, God made everything (including you) and therefore everything belongs to God. So title still rests in God’s name. But the good news is that God has so much faith in you that you are entrusted with the care of God’s creation. Wow, God has great confidence in you.
