5th Sunday in Lent (John 12:1-8)
Gospel Message from Pastor William.
Jesus’ response to Judas’ criticism of Mary for using “costly perfume” to anoint Jesus’ feet is; “You will always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me.” Ouch! A double whammy. First, you are choosing to ignore Jesus; pay attention to him, recognize his presence, and learn from him. Second, you’ll always have the poor with you because you ignore the poor too – and fail to see Jesus in them.
