Maundy Thursday (John 13:1-17, 31b-35)

Gospel Message from Pastor William.

Jesus washes the dirty stinky feet of his disciples, and they object. For them, their teacher and Lord should have his feet washed, not be the foot washer. But, Jesus says the one who is sent is to be a servant. The Father sent Jesus to serve and give his life for God’s children. Jesus says if we understand this it will be evident, not in what we say, but in what we do. Do you proclaim Jesus as Lord with your voice or with your actions? “Blessed are you if you do them” (v17).
