2nd Sunday of Easter (John 20:19-31)
Gospel Message from Pastor William
Thomas the Twin (v24) was “unbelieving”, not doubting. The other disciples were locked away on this evening of Jesus’ resurrection, and they too, were “unbelieving” of what Mary Magdalene had told them (v18.) Then, Jesus showed up to bring them peace, to breathe the Holy Spirit on them, and to send them out to forgive sins. Jesus meets us in our unbelieving, uncertainty and unwillingness to stray from our safe places; bringing us peace, the Holy Spirit and sending us out to forgive sins. We’ve got work to do people.
