9th Sunday after Pentecost (Luke 12:32-40)
Gospel Message from Pastor William.
Jesus reminds us that it is God’s good pleasure to give us the kingdom. Then he instructs us to sell our possessions and give alms. Wow, Jesus that takes a great deal of trust on our part to give away that which we have accumulated. We’ve spent time building up our store of stuff, and you want us to give it away? You want us to lend it to God’s work instead of keeping it to ourselves? You want us to trust that God has more to give us? In a word; Yes!
