Luke 12:49-56

8/14/22

10th Sunday after Pentecost (Luke 12:49-56)

Gospel Message from Pastor William.

At the beginning of this chapter, Jesus warns about the hypocrisy of believers. Now at the end of chapter twelve, Jesus is a little more explicit; calling the gathered crowds, hypocrites! I like to say; “Being a Christian isn’t for wimps.” It takes commitment, hard work, and follow-through. For Christians, like for golf, it is the follow-through that leads to effectiveness. One must actually practice it, live it out and demonstrate good form in relationships of caring and service to others – all others.
