Luke 15:1-3, 11b-32

03/27/22

4th Sunday in Lent (Luke 15:1-3, 11b-32)

Gospel Message from Pastor William.

Jesus teaches in the parable I like to call; The Prodigal Father. Prodigal means; reckless, uncontrolled, and extravagant. It is the father who is reckless as he gives away half his wealth while he is still alive. He is uncontrolled as he tosses aside his dignity to run toward the son who betrayed him. It is the father who is extravagant as he robes his despicable son in the family ornaments. This prodigal father loves both his sons, even though neither is worthy of that love. Let us recognize that our Father God has this same reckless, uncontrolled and extravagant love for us.
