Luke 18:1-8

10/16/22

19th Sunday after Pentecost (Luke 18:1-8)

Gospel Message from Pastor William.

In this parable Jesus demonstrates that even a judge who has no respect for anyone, and does not believe in God, will grant justice to the oppressed widow. Contrary to the judge, God is compassionate and cares deeply for the oppressed. Therefore, we can trust (have faith) that God’s actions will benefit those in need. Our trust (faith) is revealed in how we take part in bringing about justice for the oppressed. Jesus then asks if he will see our trust (faith) in action when he returns. Will he see you in action?
