Jesus is twelve years old; the age when it is expected he will show his ability and interest in living and studying God’s teachings. In Christian tradition, it is about the age people make their Affirmation of Baptism (Confirmation); promising to live and study God’s teachings. Unfortunately for Christians, that promise is often short-lived. Jesus’ practice is a fine example for us to emulate.
