Luke 4:14-21

01/23/22

Third Sunday after Epiphany (Luke 4:14-21)

Gospel Message from Pastor William.

As Jesus begins his ministry, he goes to church (synagogue), reads from the Bible (scroll of Isaiah), then sits down to teach. He teaches that the captives are to be released. Indeed, that is just what he does. He frees us sinners from captivity to our sinful actions, thoughts, and desires. Frees us to absorb God’s love that comes to us with neither merit, nor bounds. Frees us to share that love of Christ with our neighbors near and far. Frees us to serve others for the greater good of community. You have been freed.
