Luke 4:21-30

01/30/22

Fourth Sunday after Epiphany (Luke 4:21-30)

Gospel Message from Pastor William.

This week’s reading is a continuation of last week’s reading: Jesus teaching in his home synagogue. The homefolk speak well of him. That is, until he speaks the truth about what they are thinking; “Jesus has done so much for others, we can’t wait to see what he does for us.” Are we much different? We often pray about what we want Jesus to do for us. Where is our thankfulness? Where is our asking for wisdom and ability to serve others? Where is our surrendering ourselves to God’s will for us and for God’s creation?
