Fifth Sunday after Epiphany (Luke 5:1-11)

Gospel Message from Pastor William.

Jesus teaches the crowds from Simon’s boat. When finished, Jesus tells Simon to go fishing in deep waters. Even though Simon was tired from having fished unsuccessfully all night, he did as Jesus instructed. The result is a net so full he couldn’t handle it himself. So too, Jesus comes to us when we are tired and frustrated with trying to make things work on our own. When you finally get tired of doing things on your own, put down your nets into the deep water of Jesus; be ready to be amazed at what he will do, and ask you to do.
