Matthew 11:16-19, 25-30

Gospel Message from Pastor William

Jesus says we are to take his yoke upon us and learn from him. A yoke couples two oxen together so that they share in doing the work of the farmer. The stronger ox puts more into the effort, but could not do it alone. The wiser ox keeps the plow going straight, but needs the other ox to go in the same direction. Jesus wants us coupled to him, to do the work of the Father. He will assist us in this work. He will guide us in this work. But, here’s the often-missed point: we need to do the work beside Jesus and go where he guides us!
