Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43

Gospel Message from Pastor William

Jesus explains his parable about the “weeds among the wheat” and we Christians tend to like the part about how “the righteous will shine like the sun”. But we tend to ignore the part about the angels gathering “all causes of sin” for destruction. We tend to forget our sinfulness; our selfish use of treasure God entrusts to our care, our rejection of people with a lifestyle with which we do not agree, our failure to speak up for those oppressed by society, and our putting other things ahead of God. Jesus warns us to change our ways. We best take heed.
