Jesus tells five parables about what the kingdom of heaven is like. Then, he explains, saying; it is like the person in charge who brings out treasure both old and new. Jesus is that new treasure brought out by the God who longs for us to see the very old treasure of God’s unmerited and unlimited love for all creation. The kingdom of heaven is a treasure given to us which we find so valuable that we dispose of everything that is not part of God’s kingdom. Look for the kingdom. Be the kingdom.
