6^th Sunday after Epiphany (Matthew 5:21-37)

Gospel Message from Pastor William

Jesus continues (refer to the last two week’s Gospel Message) teaching his disciples (students) about what the kingdom of God looks like. Here Jesus teaches about many things. Some of our Bibles give headings to these teachings, consider these headings instead:

• Verses 21-26 = Love one another, don’t hate anyone
• Verses 27-30 = Love your partner, don’t lust after anyone
• Verses 31-32 = Love your partner, don’t neglect them in any way
• Verses 33-37 = Love the truth, don’t tell miss-truths of any kind
