Psalm 116:1-4, 12-19

04/23/23

3rd Sunday of Easter

Psalm 116:1-4, 12-19 paraphrased by Pastor William

Oh God, I love you so much;

        you hear me in my despair.

You listen for my voice;

        I know I can count on you.

I suffer in fear and worry;

        I’ve endured sickness and grief.

Then, I cry out to you;

        “Save me, Lord.”

How can I repay you, Lord

        for all you done for me?

I know; I will make a toast to you

        and proclaim your goodness.

I will make a promise before all;

        everyone will be a witness.

When we die,

        you greet us with welcome arms.

I commit my life to you;

        my everything is yours.

I will thank you publicly

        and proudly speak your name.

I will keep my promises;

        everyone will see it.

They will have enough evidence

        to convict me of belonging to you.

Praise God!
