Resurrection Sunday

Psalm 118:1-2, 14-24 paraphrase by Pastor William

Oh God, you are the greatest;

          you love us no matter what.

Let everyone say it together;

          you love us no matter what.

I get my strength from God;

          It is God’s grace that saves me.

I sing songs of joy and victory;

          fearlessly, God defends me,

I will not die, but live!

          For God will see to it.

I deserve punishment for my behavior,

          but God gives me life.

Fling wide your gate;

          I want to come in.

Jesus is the gate;

          all are permitted entry.

You answered my cries for help;

          you saved me from danger.

You made today for living;

          we delight in it.

Save us, we cry;

          you hear us, it is done.

The world rejected you,

          but you are our foundation.

Salvation is God’s doing,

          it is a sight to behold!

This is the day God has made;

          let us celebrate with joy!
