14^th Sunday after Pentecost

Psalm 51:1-10, paraphrased by Pastor William

Oh God, I need your compassion,

            I need your abundant love.

Make me clean, for I am filthy,

            sometimes my actions stink.

We both know what I have done,

            If I’m honest,

I’m reminded,

            that I could have done better.

Sometimes the things I do hurt;

you and those you love.

Don’t hold it against me,

though you have every right,

please don’t be angry with me.

Give me another chance;

            teach me how to truly love,

            fill me with your Spirit,

            make me a new person,

            renew my heart,

            clear my mind,

            give me your breath of life.
