Psalm 63:1-8

03/20/22

3rd Sunday in Lent

Psalm 63:1-8 paraphrase by Pastor William

O God, I’m searching for you,

            my heart needs you;

my entire body longs for you,

            I’m thirsty for you.

I look for you in church,

            observing your love in action.

I cannot imagine life without you;

            your love sustains me.

I sing loudly of your goodness,

            raising my hands and voice.

Until the very end of my life,

            I will speak of your wonders.

My body is fed by your abundance,

            my lips speak of your goodness.

Each night before I sleep,

            I remember you care for me.

You are my everything,

            in you I have nothing to fear.

You put your hand out for me,

            I grab on tight.

O God, never let go of me!

            I am yours forever!
