Psalm 91:1-2, 9-16 paraphrase by Pastor William

You who live in God’s presence,

            under God’s caring wings,

you call out: “My protector, my strength;

            it is you, God, whom I trust.”

You are most important to me, God;

            I take shelter in your presence;

wickedness will not overpower me;

            nothing will bring me down.

You will protect me;

            you will guard my every move.

In your hands I am safe;

            you clear my way of danger.

Those who seek to harm me,

            you will defeat and suppress.

You say; “Those who love me,

            I will protect;

call my name, I will answer;

            when in trouble, I will rescue;

for I am your God;

            your ever-present benefactor.”
