2nd Sunday after Pentecost – Luke 8:26-39
Stewardship Moment from Pastor William
Stewardship in the Gospel
Jesus casts out demons and the people revolt because of how it affects them. Jesus’ desire is that we see the need of others as superior to our own needs.
Stewardship in our community
God knows what we need and takes good care of us and in return asks that we strive first for the kingdom of God. This involves seeking the good of others, even if it costs us some discomfort.
Stewardship in practice
Make some time to count all the comfort, luxury and sufficiency you have in your life. Now, consider ways you can change your language of scarcity to that of abundance. Can you thank God regularly and frequently? Can you share some of your abundance with others? God blessed you in abundance so that you may share abundantly in every good work (2 Cor 9:8).
