Stewardship in the Gospel
On the third day, Jesus’ disciples are hidden behind closed doors. They don’t believe he was raised from the dead. All of a sudden, Jesus shows up! Jesus busts through the barrier they set up to protect them from society.
Stewardship in our community
Society works diligently to keep God out of public places. No longer is God a welcome participant in our collective lives. No longer do we publicly proclaim that God exists. As a result, evil steps in to take up the void. This is the opposite of stewardship.
Stewardship in practice
This week, let’s try something simple to bring God back into society. Let’s turn the blasphemy of OMG on its head by greeting all people with; “Oh my God, you are so special in God’s eyes.” Then be ready for Jesus to burst forth and do marvelous things.
