Matthew 10:40-42

Stewardship Moment from Pastor William

Stewardship in the Gospel

Jesus says to welcome (receive, accept, show hospitality and demonstrate a favorable attitude) others and we will have the reward of life in God’s kingdom. It is as simple as; God welcomes us and wants us to welcome others.

Stewardship in our community

Community is a place generally built on unwelcomeness: gated communities, wrong-side-of the-tracks attitudes, sport and political rivalries, and not-in-my-backyard mentality. God wants that eliminated so that all people accept one another unconditionally, in the same way as does God.

Stewardship in practice

Make time to consider those to whom you fail to demonstrate a favorable attitude. Now, find something positive about that group, or that person. Then, find a way to express that acceptance the next time you are in a conversation where people express un-favorableness toward that group or person. That is being a good steward of God’s love for you.
