Stewardship Moment - 6th Sunday After Epiphany

6th Sunday after Epiphany – Luke 6:11-26

Stewardship Moment from Pastor William

Stewardship in the Gospel

Jesus teaches the crowds that the poor are blessed and the rich are distressed. God’s blessing of grace and love are for the poor and the rich, but the rich act like they don’t need it.

Stewardship in our community

Society teaches that wealth is something earned and held onto at all cost. Jesus teaches that wealth is a tool to be used to exhibit grace and love by using it to elevate the lowly. Jesus turns the world’s thinking upside-down.

Stewardship in practice

God provides abundantly, not equally. Why would God do that? So those with more than necessary can have the pleasure of connecting with and serving those in need. Purchase more groceries than you need; then give it away. For in giving you bless and are blessed.
