Stewardship Moment - 6th Sunday of Easter

05/22//22

6th Sunday of Easter – John 14:23-29

Stewardship Moment from Pastor William

Stewardship in the Gospel

Jesus says the Holy Spirit will come to those who love Jesus. This Spirit will teach us and remind us of Jesus’ love and peace – a peace unlike what the world gives.

Stewardship in our community

The world teaches us that peace is the absence of conflict. Jesus teaches that peace in the kingdom of God is about being freed from burden, worry and fear. Freed, not solely for personal gain or benefit, but freed so that there is room to love and forgive.

Stewardship in practice

When we are freed to love and forgive, good things happen. We see others as Jesus sees them and have compassion upon them. God blesses us so we can be a blessing. As we approach Memorial Day, let us proclaim: God bless America, so we can be a blessing to all other nations.
