Third Sunday in Lent – John 4:5-42

Stewardship Moment from Pastor William

Stewardship in the Gospel

Jesus asks a woman for a drink of water and ends up offering her “a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.” The Samaritan woman couldn’t contain her excitement, she told everyone what Jesus did for her. The result was that many from her city believed in Jesus. She shared what Jesus did for her and lives were changed for the better.

Stewardship in our community

We are entrusted to tell others what God has done, and is doing, for us. We are entrusted with caring for, and sharing, God’s love. That kind love is for sharing.

Stewardship in practice

If we truly feel Jesus’ love for us, why do we keep it to ourselves? Keeping his love to ourselves is no less selfish than hoarding toilet paper in a pandemic. Repeat after me: Jesus loves you; and so do I. Now get out there and tell others – all others.
