Stewardship in the Gospel

Jesus promises that the Holy Spirit will come and guide us into all truth – the truth of God, the truth only God can give, and the truth that is life. This truth belongs to God and is entrusted to us to share. That is the two elements of stewardship.

Stewardship in our community

We are bombarded with truth that is often one-sided, and therefore, not really truth. Generally, the truth of society is not life-giving, and therefore, not the truth of God. The Holy Spirit guides us into all truth; that life is found in loving, forgiving and blessing others.

Stewardship in practice

This week, focus on speaking truth; all truth. Speak of love, forgiveness and blessing. Act in love, forgiveness and blessing. Move into the truth that you are to matter to those you encounter – for their own good and for Jesus’ sake.
