Stewardship in the Gospel

Jesus connects to God through prayer and it changes things. In today’s reading, Jesus’ appearance changes; he beams with the glory of God. But, the key is that Jesus connected to God through prayer, and that connection changed things.

Stewardship in our community

There is much in our community that needs the attention of people willing to lift it up in prayer. Whether it is the poor, our government leaders, the environment and its resources, or the economy, there is much that needs God’s connection and influence.

Stewardship in practice

The daily news gives us much opportunity to grouse or bemoan the state of things. Instead of that, God asks us to connect to God through prayer and to listen for what God is asking of us. After you encounter news, make time to pray for God’s guidance to what you can do to make a difference. Pray earnestly; then be ready to be called into action. God is waiting patiently for you to help make a difference.
